Mission to Million #3
At the end of my last blog, I promised I’d tell you the truth. The honest, practical, inconvenient truth about what’s really standing between me and my Mission to Million.
I had a few guesses sent in. Some of you thought it might be my mindset. Others said I’d probably get in my own way... and yes, I absolutely do get in my own way, but not so much in business (I do with my health & fitness mind)!
The problem is simpler. And more measurable. The thing that is limiting my growth now is this:
It’s my audience size.
The brand awareness around Sales Training with Enfys isn’t yet where it needs to be. My email list and follower size can’t yield the volume of sales required for this next leap. Not consistently, and not at the level I’m aiming for.
But there is hope!
The maths is clear: if I can triple my audience, I can triple my revenue.
My conversion rate has always been high. My challenges are well loved and always convert. My talks generate waves of new sales. My beautiful masterminds and events are all where I want them to be. And my long-term retention is seriously high because my clients stay because they consistently get better sales with me at their side.
But if I want to scale, there simply aren’t enough people in my world.
So this next phase?
It’s about reach. Visibility. List-building. Brand expansion. Getting seen by the right people, in the right spaces, for the right reasons.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve taken my audience growth strategy seriously and started to put it into motion.
I've said yes to a fabulous new headline sponsorship opportunity that will put this brand at an event full of ideal clients. Plus, I also joined two new high-level communities where growth feels contagious. Within 24 hours of joining the first, I’d made a £4,000 sale, which was phenomenal. The next opens next week, so we’ll see where that goes.
I gave a live talk at a networking event... Your Sales Game Plan. It was packed (possibly a little too crammed with content if I’m honest), but there’s no point letting it gather dust if it can help others. I’ll be making the recording available next week if you’d like it? It’s 30 minutes of sales and marketing strategy that will help you tighten up your summer sales and marketing focus.
These aren’t just activities.
They’re intentional moves.
I’m not waiting around.
I’m backing myself and making stuff happen, and the results and impact have, so far, been almost immediate.
But I want to pause here because...
I remember when months like this felt completely and utterly out of reach. Like, totally impossible. Wins like this didn't happen to people like me.
When the sales weren’t coming. When the strategy felt fuzzy and when the doubts were LOUD. When the idea of being nominated for anything, let alone winning, all just felt a million miles away.
So if you’re there, keep going. Remember where you are, and recognise that with a few key decisions and a focus on your sales process, everything can change in your business. I started with zero sales, zero clients, and a flimsy plan.
Yet... here I am.
I got here one step at a time, one decision at a time, and now the journey continues.
And as I scale, I need to balance strategy with sustainability without scorching myself or the business.
Last August was really tough and I don't want another summer like it. It was stressful, and it wasn’t fun. Work felt chaotic over the holiday juggle, and my mum was really, really unwell with cancer. She’s still in recovery now, but at least she’s OK.
This year, I want to work my way over the summer. Scaling at this pace doesn’t let me completely off the hook, and if I’m honest, I don’t want weeks off, but I do want a proper rest. I want to work gently and intentionally this summer.
The focus will be getting the team to lay the groundwork so that when we go full throttle into September, we’re ready. The systems we set up now will let us grow and scale with ease later in the year.
I’ve tasked the team with building out new, high-performing lead magnets and list-builders. Why? Because we had 300 people register for our last challenge. If 900 register this time, the whole model shifts. The odds become aligned with the mission.
Triple the audience.
Triple the leads.
Triple the sales.
Before I start wrapping up, I have these celebrations to share too because they're too good not to share, even though this update is getting long!...
I’ve just been officially appointed as a Board Director for Portmeirion Village, after twelve months in an observing role. It’s deeply personal. Joining my family board members there means more than I can say.
I’ve also been named a finalist in two categories at the 2025 Best Business Women Awards:
-
Best Businesswoman in Business Services
-
Best Networking Group, as the founder of Vibrant Connections
These are hard categories to break into, and I’m chuffed to bits.
There’s one more thing I haven’t told you. And I know this is getting reaaaaally long now, but I need to share so I keep accountable.
Alongside all this, I’ve signed up for my first ultramarathon.
Fifty kilometres, mixed terrain, next April. I must be mad. I ran a marathon in March and then just stopped running and sat down for three months. So, I need to get back to it with short, regular runs and pick up where I left off. What else can you do when you drop the ball?
Finally...
In the background, I’m also asking myself some big "How else should I grow my audience?" questions.
- Do I start a podcast?
- Do I go all-in on YouTube?
- Where should this journey live outside of this email?
I’ll decide by August. That’s the promise! And once the decision’s made, the clarity will come. You must have your own ideas circulating right?! Let me know what you're pondering if you care to share!
Thank you for being here and sharing this business building adventure with me!
Here’s to big, crazy goals!
