Mission to Million #2

Here goes nothing!

I've declared to the world that I'll be taking this business from around £300,000 a year to seven figures over the next 12 months.

So, where do I begin?!

I'm busy. Life basically gets in my way every single day.

Take yesterday, for example. I was sitting in my office in rural North Wales when my internet went down. Not ideal, as I was mid-conversation with a VIP client. Then today, our water stopped coming out of the tap.

Like, totally stopped.

We live partially off-grid here in Snowdonia (Eryri) and the water comes from the stream. In the last hour, I was battling bracken and brambles with the (very handy) plumber to get to the water source ‘tank’... if you can call it that.

This morning, I was sat in a field talking to my mindset coach (more on that soon), followed by a call with a brand new contact who decided there and then to grab my Headline Sponsorship spot for The End of Year Extravaganza (woohoo)!

Every day, the cognitive gymnastics I (us entrepreneurs) have to navigate are real. My husband, Rick, has also been away since Monday, so I've been solo parenting (which has been a joy), but you know... the juggle is real, even on a good week. And this has been a good week — in fact, it's been nothing short of phenomenal as weeks go.

So, what I'm getting at is this.

Distractions.
Disruptions.
Doubt.

These interruptions (let's call it real life, shall we?) are what stand between me and hitting my Mission to Million goal.

BUT... I'm really good at not letting myself off the hook, and I've started to realise just how focused and productive I can be when I'm clear. And that clarity is the key part. If I'm clear, I fly. If I'm confused, I get lost.

So, the very first part of my Mission to Million is this: to get clear and know exactly what stands in my way.

And I do.

I know, without one shadow of a doubt, what stands in my way. The big rock, as you'd say. There are plenty of small rocks too, which get stuck in my shoes and slow me down... but there is one whopping great big obstacle that, unless I address, I will not progress.

Any guesses what this would be?!

Answers on a postcard, and I'll come back to you with the answer and the plan in my next blog.

Now though, I'm going to grab a bottle of prosecco and go for a swim to our river. The path clearing halfway up a mountain this afternoon was HOT and I'd like to leave my desk now.

I have a lot to celebrate this month already (I've soooo earned that prosecco)!

I ran my first ever corporate event last week. Had a mini brand shoot. Hosted my beautiful Vibrant Connections Summer Social. Opened the tickets to my End of Year Extravaganza, which immediately sold like hot cakes.

50+ tickets went in the first few days. Seeing as we only had 60 there last year, and seeing that the room can only hold about 80, I reckon this will be a sell-out event within weeks. The sponsors are also coming on... the Headline Sponsor confirmed today, like I said, another speaker sponsor confirmed yesterday, more talks are booked in for Monday... honestly, I can barely keep up... especially without internet or water!!

I love my world... but I'm not settling here!

The views I wake up to.
The conversations I get to have.
The clients I get to work with.
The events I get to run.
The stages I get on.
The fun I get to have.
The mentors I get to work with.
The circles I get to be in.
The opportunities I get to explore.
The growth I get to experience.
The expansion I get to breathe.

Are all phenomenal...

But I'm curious what I'm capable of, and something big is going on behind the scenes. I can feel it, and I want to share it. So, that's exactly what I'm going to do... for one full year I’ll be documenting my scaling steps and stumbles!
