My No Fail Method

Somehow we’re already at Week 7 of Mission to Million! I said to myself that I’d keep this one short and sharp, but we both know I rarely manage that. I tend to wander through my thoughts until I find the gold, so let’s see where we end up.

This week’s been… mixed. I haven’t felt 100%. Not ill exactly, but not full throttle either. A wasp stung me multiple times (vicious little thing) and I’m sure it left me low-grade feverish for a few days. On top of that, I’ve had hardly any proper work time as I'm having lots of time out with the kids.

Lovely in one sense, frustrating in another, so yes, I’ll be catching up this weekend. Next week I get to announce our nine brilliant new Sponsors, and I’ve had a seriously good new idea that I cannot wait to roll out (oh the curse of having another brilliant idea, right?!)

But today, I want to talk about perseverance, 'First Sales', and how to keep moving when things don’t go to plan first time. I’ve been reflecting on this a lot recently, knowing I’ll face this exact scenario again and again as I scale.

Last week I told my VIP Mastermind the simple truth about why my offers sell, sell fast, and sell out. It’s not because everything I touch turns to gold first time. It’s because I keep going until I get the results I want; honestly, I just don't give up too soon.

That doesn’t mean I’m running myself ragged. It means I’m strategic, considered, and totally committed. If something doesn’t land first time, or as quickly as I expected, I don’t abandon ship or spiral into self-doubt. I ask myself why didn't it fly off the shelf when everything else typically does:

  • Was it the offer itself?

  • Was it the number of leads?

  • Was it due to the quality or quantity of marketing? (Not enough promotion is often the key factor in selling success)

  • Was it the messaging and positioning?

  • Was it the audience reach?

In fact, I had a “failed” launch in January. I made just one sale after a launch and faced immediate resistance to my offer. I didn’t panic, or scrap it and pretend it didn’t happen. I just sat with it, got curious, and identified the one vital change needed, and within seven days the full cohort was sold out.

That “failure” became the £20k of new sales I had expected. Had I not adapted, had I not persevered, doubt would have taken hold and the phenomenal clients I then got to support would never have come about (and they really were such an amazing bunch)! I shared this lesson with them too and showed them exactly how I salvaged the launch. I think about that a lot actually - high five to my self-trust back in January!

So, if you’ve launched something and “only” sold one place when you wanted ten, that’s not failure. That’s data. That’s just the beginning. Celebrate the one first client, learn from it, and use that insight to get the next. You will never get to ten without your first customer.

I remember launching The Elevate Circle four years ago. My first webinar had six people on it. The second had twelve. That first sale felt scary. “I can’t start a community with just me and one other person,” I thought. But I could. And I did. Hundreds and hundreds of sales have followed all my firsts, and every single thing I’ve built started that way.

And here is the evolution I love. Back then, I used to ask myself, “Will anybody come, will anybody buy?” Now my mindset is completely different. It is curiosity more than anything... it's more a question of “Who is coming with me?” That is identity work in action. This level of confidence came after the work, not before, I had to take courageous action before I was confident. Waiting to feel ready can be a real success killer. Perseverance is the real superpower.

It’s exactly where I’m at with my CEO Day Retreat. I’m not wondering IF people will join me. I already know they will. I’m intrigued and excited to see exactly WHO they are! The peers stepping into this space are bold, brilliant, and ready for big, generous, going-global level strategy.

I can already feel the calibre of conversation, the black book sharing, the proximity to influence, and the opportunities this table will spark. Take a look at my CEO Day HERE.

It takes unbelievable self-resolve, self-certainty, self-trust, self-accountability, and total dedication to build a brand of substance. That is why I run my CEO Days for my peers, and why I support hundreds of others to do the same in their own businesses.

Happy Friday ... it's time to breathe, believe, and become the person and business owner you’re here to be. If it didn’t work the first time, it can absolutely work the next, with the right strategy. Perseverance and adaptation are what keep you moving forward; so keep going!
