Delays & doubts ...
The final two months of the year are such a goldmine of opportunity, in every sense. It’s that strange mix of endings and beginnings that always makes me take stock. And one thing I’ve completely let slip this year is my health.
Since running a marathon in March, I’ve fallen right off the health wagon. And this week, I hit that THAT’S IT moment. (Think cartoon hat thrown dramatically across the room.)
So, my husband surprised me and hired a PT. I start an eight-week, end-of-year health focus. The habits and rhythm I build now will put me miles ahead of waiting until January, when everything feels like climbing a mountain in slippers.
The timing couldn’t be worse. I’m away four times between now and Christmas, and the festive period is fast approaching. Nobody starts their health goals now… or do they?
Honestly, I already feel relieved. I’ve got my first ultra marathon coming up soon... 50km across the Llŷn Peninsula here in North Wales... and I need the structure, accountability and support to get back on track. I’ve drifted. And as I’ve been thinking about it, I realised the parallel with business is identical.
So many business owners go into hibernation mode at this time of year.
They stop launching.
They pause investing, they start hiding.
They tell themselves, “This isn’t the right time, I’ll pick things up in 2026.” (I’ve heard this a lot recently.)
But that decision to delay costs momentum, which costs sales, which costs confidence. And when January arrives, the businesses that pause and defer will be scrambling to restart their sales engine from cold. It’s so much harder to get moving again than it is to build a Q1 strategy now and keep the rhythm going.
How you finish the year determines how you start the next one. It’s true for my health, my business, and probably yours too.
Right now, I see two types of business owners.
Group One are slowing down, waiting it out, convincing themselves that a “fresh start” will fix it all in January. (Spoiler: it won’t.)
Group Two are building the motorways into their business, refining offers, strengthening systems, growing visibility, and creating future opportunities.
I’m firmly in Group Two, alongside my clients. Even though I’ll rest properly in December, my business won’t stop. Mission to Million doesn’t sleep. (Although I am actually sleeping better than ever!)
My brand is built to run, to deliver, to support my many clients, and to keep generating revenue even when I’m offline. It’s built to grow and create real momentum without constantly doing more. It comes from leading with vision, clarity and trust. And actually, I’ll be doing less, not more, going forward.
And that’s what this end-of-year season is really about. It’s not the time for delay, doubt, or “wait until next year” energy.
People still buy in November and December. My October was one of my best months ever, and November already looks amazing. The savvy are already intentionally and excitedly gearing up for Q1 and Q2.
But Mission to Million isn’t about overworking. My business needs to be able to run without me pressing every button.
People often think I do it all, and in some ways, I do. But not alone. I’ve built a team around me to make sure everything runs beautifully, powerfully and strategically. I don’t delegate and disappear. I delegate and oversee, and everything is designed to give my clients the best support and sales strategy I can provide.
And yes, that means investing. Growth mode isn’t always comfortable. Profit can dip some months, but short-term investment for long-term growth is always worth it. I’ve never, not once, made an investment that hasn’t multiplied in return... and I trust myself to do the work to get that return.
That messy middle between “small” and “significant” business is real. Sometimes it feels like you’re building the plane while flying it, but that’s how you learn to fly higher... and which is why having a thought partner/ mentor at this stage isn’t a luxury. It’s essential. Someone to help you see the bigger picture, keep you accountable to your ambition, and remind you that you’re building something far bigger than “just” a business.
Last month, I spent the day in London with my own mentor, Lisa Johnson, refining and reimagining every layer of what I do. Because if I’m serious about my Mission to Million (and I am), I can’t keep relying on the same systems and attitudes that got me to multi-six figures.
Growth demands evolution, and that’s exactly what we’re having fun with behind the scenes right now.
If we’re going to build businesses that create opportunity, impact and legacy, we have to stop doing everything ourselves, get help and start leading differently.
So here’s where I’m at. I’ve just added something big to my vision board: bringing my core freelance team on permanently. It’s a huge step, and it feels like the next right leap forward.
So no, the next two months aren’t downtime. They’re foundational. I’m building 2026 before it begins. Next year I’m doing less, better. Scaling smart. Having even more fun. And walking into it feeling strong, rested and ready for everything that’s coming.
Are you with me?
If you want to finish this year strong and set yourself up beautifully for 2026, ask me about my 'End On a High' my one off four week, 1:1 Package. I’ll help you wrap up 2025 sales, and with absolute clarity for what’s next. I have 5 available.
My Q1 Mastermind Day events are also opening publically this month. Just ask if you want the details; these tend to fill without much promotion and are already half full.
I’m really enjoying business and life right now. Everything feels aligned, exciting, and full of possibility.
