Doubts & Delays; The Wobbles Are Real

Sometimes leadership looks like certainty and momentum. Sometimes it looks like a wobble, and the decision to keep leading anyway.

This week I caught myself thinking, “I haven’t done enough.”

Despite not feeling on top of everything, and despite the endless requests from my kids to watch their latest “show,” I have managed. I’ve had more time off than I’ve worked. In fact, I’m away right now, which is why this update is a day late.

Yesterday we continued our road trip and drove seven hours up to Oban, and this morning I’ve woken up beside a beautiful Scottish loch. It's beyond beautiful here. And for the first time I left my desk with open projects (which I never usually do), but that’s life. My business doesn’t stop, even when I step away. It's just part of the growth phase I'm in... and that's OK.

Also, when I really think about it, and stop giving myself a hard time - the work actually did still get done. Not all of it (which annoys me)... but the most important pieces, and that's that!

Here's what I've been working on:

  • I built a new audience growth funnel. The ads tested every ounce of patience, but we cracked it. Ads are infuriating. They’re now a key priority for someone in my team to master ... hopefully my husband, as he’s techy and has the eye for detail you need for testing (which I do not)!

  • I prepared our phenomenal September Networking Challenge... it’s all ready to roll (sneak preview HERE) and YES! You should definitely come to this, it's one of the best online experiences I run.

  • And I’ve also overseen big progress on our smallholding in Wales, which you might have seen scattered through my Instagram stories (@salestraining_with_enfys).

Yes, there are open loops. No, everything is not neat. But leadership and Mission to Million, are not about perfection. It is about moving what matters most, trusting the foundations I've built, and having the courage to step away knowing the work will hold, and opportunities can wait

Here is the piece I want you to take away. Wobbles and self doubt are not weakness. They are evidence you are stretching, growing, demanding more of yourself than before.

That feeling of being “behind”? It’s rarely reality. I’ve felt it a lot this August. Time with the kids, progress on the house and grounds, slower work weeks... it has all left me feeling a little off pace. And I like it pacy - I'm known for FAST results, but this summer has been more slow and steady than anything. Which is actually just fine (for just a month - I'm changing gears from next week)!

In fact, this feeling “behind” usually just means you are in the middle. That dash between ideas and results. And the middle is not where momentum stalls, it is where momentum is created. Mine hasn’t paused this summer, it’s only built... I just need to remind myself of that!

So if you’ve felt that same uncertainty, that sense of not doing enough, of open loops and unfinished work....remember.... you are not behind.

You are in motion.

The middle might feel messy, but it is where progress is forged and where leaders decide to keep moving, even when it feels uncomfortable. It's also where people get stuck or choose to settle, stagnate, and circle the drain because this bit is hard without support and clear direction.

So honour where you're at. Trust what you’ve already built. And keep going. Because greatness is not born from being flawless. It is born from continuing anyway.

And while I’m sharing my own updates, here are a few things we signed off this week that you can get involved in too:

  • Money Left on the Table - a free training and worksheet that has already helped my clients uncover £29k, £40k, even £162k sitting untapped in their businesses. It takes 15 minutes and could transform your Summer leads & sales pipeline.

  • And also... I’ll be opening spaces in both of my sales accelerator masterminds this September: The Revenue Generator Mastermind and The Elevate Circle for VIP clients.

Right... I'm done here!

I’m off to take the kids to swim in the river. We found a hidden pool on our walk this morning. Have a good one. Keep building in the cracks if you need to - that’s what I’m doing!

Mission to Million continues.

Aim high, and remember: Progress over perfection!
